A CLEAR Head...

A CLEAR Head...

Transparent, see-through, clear, translucent... Whatever you call it, it's IN! From lacey tops to embroidered cut-out skirts, from lucite shoes to glass and plastic accessories, this look is clearly a hit for Spring 2012! (ha. ha. ha.)And I rather love it. It reminds of Cinderella and her glass slippers. Her Fairy Godmother was obviously ahead of her time. But glass in footwear is not something I'm brave enough to attempt since I'm rather clumsy. So I vote for the Dolce&Gabbana Strap Sandals in pink pvc above to look and feel like Cinderella. Simply lovely! But of course, wearing them requires a perfect pedicure. No hiding my currently ugly feet in those shoes! The transparent Louis Vuitton handbag is lovely as well. But since I don't keep a very organized handbag, I'm not sure I can pull that look off either. No hiding my personal mess in that bag! Right now, my handbag is filled with old tissues, gum wrappers, cough drops, various slips of paper, pens, and pencils and numerous, messy beauty products, an old banana (don't ask) plus my wallet... Obviously, this transparent look is not for everyone... Sigh... If only I had my very own Fairy Godmother like Cinderella. She would totally help me to clear my head so I could pull myself together and pull off these  transparent looks... Anyone know where I can find one?

Play Nice

Play Nice

I remember telling my kids that when they were small. "Play nice!" And if they didn't play nice, I would say, "If you can't play nice with others then you need to go play all by yourself!" It was a rather severe punishment if friends were over... But as a grown up, I think it sounds rather lovely. Can you imagine disagreeing or arguing with your co-workers and having someone tell you that since you can't play nice you need to go play all by yourself?!... "Halleluiah!!! I am out of here!!!" I would go shopping, of course. And buy the color block outfit above. Maybe get my nails done. Then when I was done playing all alone, I would go back to the office and flaunt my new "toys" in all of the other kids faces... Hey, playing nice is a hard lesson for some of us.
